Barbara W. Powell “Faye”

Barbara W. Powell “Faye”, 75, of Helena died on Thursday, December 19, 2019 in the Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah.

Barbara Faye was a retired LPN with the Telfair County Hospital. She was a devoted wife, mother, Meme and friend.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Chalmus (W.C.) Watson and Jossie Belle Dennis Watson; Sister, Inell Floyd; Grandchildren, Karlee Smith, Kooper Smith, Kennadee Smith & Kolton Smith.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, December 22, 2019 in the Chapel of Lowe’s Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services in the chapel of Lowe’s Funeral Home from 1:00-2:00 on Sunday.

The Rev. Stanley Steverson will officiate.

Survivors include her husband of 32 years, Kenneth Powell of Helena; son, Chris McCoy (Stacey) of Birmingham, AL; daughters, Teresa Selph (Richie) of McRae-Helena, Barbie Mullis (Tony) of McRae-Helena, Kaydee Roberson (Andy) of Glenwood. She was a loving step-mother and Meme to Scott (Rose) Bentson, Rand Bentson, Angela (James) Kinnett, Julie Swain (Joey) and Cheri (Jerry) Cooper and their beloved families. She was a proud Meme to her precious grandchildren, Jaycee Selph, Jacob Mullis, Kaylee Smith, Konner Smith, Dalton Roberson and Kalli Jo Roberson, Cam Rogers, Sam McCoy, Jake McCoy and Kendall McCoy and great grand daughter Kelsey Rogers; sisters Maxine (Roy) Brown of Helena, Mildred (Lanier) Keene of Abbeville, several nieces and nephews.
