Benjamin Wade English, 40 of McRae, GA, died Monday, July 04, 2022. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Wade and Mary Lee Nunn of McRae, James and Christine English of Cochran, GA and 1 Uncle, Luther Nunn.

Ben was born in McRae, GA on November 19, 1981. He was a 2000 graduate of Telfair County High School and a 2009 graduate of South GA College of Douglas, GA. He began his career with Morrison’s Body Shop in Douglas and later became an Inspector for Smithfield Tank and Steel. He was also a Welder working in the Refinery Field on tanks. He loved hunting, fishing, ATV riding and being with family and friends. He was a member of Scotland Baptist Church. Ben never met a stranger and was loved by all.

Mr. English is survived by his parents, Rosemary (Lynn) Peterson of McRae and Donnie (Jane) English of Brunswick; Daughter, Loeghan Grimes of Hazlehurst; 2 Sisters, Stephanie Toland and Kristina Peterson of TN; 4 Nieces also of Tennessee; 1 Aunt and Uncle, Ray (Lola) Nunn of McRae; 6 Cousins and family; Uncle and Aunts, Millard (Frances) English, Elizabeth Batchlor, Raymond English all of Cochran; Charles (Elizabeth) English of Perry and Gary (Eda) English of Albany; 12 Cousins and family; Step-Sisters, Elaine (Stan) Courter of Kingston, Melinda Taylor of Hazlehurst, and Jennifer (Chip) Anderson of Brunswick.

A graveside service will be held at 3 P.M. Sunday, July 10, 2022 at Scotland Cemetery with Lay Minister Norwood Davidson officiating. The family will receive family and friends 1 hour prior to the service.
