Obituary for C.L. "Bo" Jackson

C.L. “Bo” Jackson, Jr.
C.L. “Bo” Jackson, Jr., 82, of Jacksonville, Georgia, went on to his Eternal Reward, on Thursday, July 22nd, 2021. He passed away at Fairview Park Hospital in Dublin, Georgia.
Clarence was known as Bo, to his friends and was affectionately known as Duke, to his family. He was a proud veteran, serving in the United States Marine Corps and was a member of the Marine Corps League. A retired territory manager of Shell Oil Company, a Gulf/BP Oil Dealer having owned 2 gas and convenient stores in Cobb County. Duke was a former director of the Telfair Chamber of Commerce. A 32nd degree Mason, serving over 50 years in the Masonic Lodge and a 50 plus year Shriner. He was also a past worthy patron of the Order of the Eastern Star, a Deacon at Blockhouse Baptist church and member of McRae First Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Leon Jackson Sr., and his mother, Mary Elizabeth Rozier Jackson; sisters, Georgia Tabb, Jeanette Tyson, Linda Sue Dotson; brothers, William Jackson, Joe Jackson.
Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Monday, July 26th, 2021 at the First Baptist Church in McRae, Georgia. Interment will follow in the Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery with military honors. The Rev. Ken Cannon and Rev. Mike Deloach will officiate. The family will receive friends and relatives from 1:45pm until the time of the services at 3:00 P.M.
Survivors include his wife, Ruthie Selph Jackson of Jacksonville, Georgia; 2 sons, Gregory Leon Jackson (Pamela Byrd Jackson) of Fripp Island, South Carolina, Gary Jackson (Jodi Jackson) of Woodstock, Georgia; grandchildren, Avery Reed Jackson, Presley DeAnne Jackson, Emily Laine Jackson, Mya Rose Jackson, Rian Mary Jackson; many nieces and nephews and friends also survive.
