Evangelia K. Oglesby

Mrs. Evangelia K. Oglesby, age 89, passed away on Sunday, February 14, 2021, at Capital Regional Medical Center, Tallahassee, FL. after an extended illness. Mrs. Oglesby was a long time resident of Helena, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Floyd Oglesby, parents, Anastasios and Kiriaki Korasidis, siblings, Andreas, Dimitra, Sofia, Simos, Kathrin, and Marina. She is also preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Daniel Miller Oglesby and wife, Patricia King Oblesby. Mrs. Oglesby was a native of Athens, Greece.

She is survived by one brother, Konstantinos Korasidis of Athens, Greece, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins in Greece and Europe. Other survivors include her nieces, Bonnie Cason, Bonnie McCrimmon, Christy McCrimmon and Joni McCrimmon, along with many local friends, neighbors and cousins. She is also survived by nieces still living and all residing in North Carolina, Tammy Oglesby, Tracy Oglesby-Pridgen, Amy Oglesby, Jennifer Oglesby. Mrs. Oglesby was the Greek Orthodox faith and was a member of the Saints Constantine & Helen Orthodox Church in Helena, Georgia.

A Graveside funeral service is set for Friday, February 19, 2021, at the Helena City Cemetery at 3:00 pm.
She will be opened for viewing from 2:30 pm until 3:00 pm. Rev. Fr. Theophan Buck will officiate. He is the Pastor at St. Innocent Orthodox Christian Church of Macon.
