She was born in McRae, Georgia. Mrs. Burnett retired as the Director for Counter Terrorism. She was preceded in death by her parents, Chester Smith and Mary Housend Smith.
Graveside services will be private.
Survivors include her 4 children, Michael Marchbanks of Texas, Misty Pearson of Middleburg, Florida, Aimee Gerci of Dublin, Ohio, Mary Arno of Newnan, Georgia; 7 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren.
