Herman Lonnie Jump Jr., 71 of Montgomery County, passed away Friday, November 25, 2022. He is preceded in death by his parents, Herman Lonnie Jump Sr. and Mary Ethel Smith Jump, brother, Danny Jump and Sister, Teresa Lynn Jump of Snipesville, GA.
Mr. Jump was born in Aiken, SC To Herman Lonnie Jump Sr. and Mary Ethel Smith Jump. a member of Oakland Baptist Church in Hazlehurst and was retired from Hazlehurst Mills. He also loved to hunt and fish.
Mr. Jump is survived by his wife of 39 years, Gail Ray Jump of Uvalda; daughter Angela (Allen) Partin of Hazlehurst; sons, Steven Jump of Hazlehurst and Keith Jump of Huffer, GA; step-children, Darlene and Clay Phares of Alamo, Derris and Shelia Spires of Alamo and Dena and Carl Lowery of Milan; sister, Sondra Partin of Hazlehurst and Dianne (Charles) Cox of Jacksonville, Fl.; brother, Jeff and Janet Jump of Uvalda; grandchildren, Lance Partin; step-grandchildren, Toby and Allie White, Chad and Katie Spires, Trent and Brittany White and Tiffany and Kason Edwards Spires; 10 great-grandchildren and Allie Partin; several nieces and nephews and loving dogs, Tator and Sadie.
Family will meet at Darlene and Clay Phares home at 42N Commerce Street Alamo, GA 30411.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2022 from 6 P.M. – 8 P.M. at Lowe’s Funeral Home. A funeral service will take place on Sunday, November 27, 2022 at 3 P.M. in the Chapel of Lowe’s Funeral Home. Burial will take place at Scotland City Cemetery. Rev. Ray Harris will officiate.
