Iris Hammock Smith, 95, died Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at the McRae Manor Nursing Home. She is preceded in death by her husband James Anton Smith and parents, Horace Greely Hammock and Dolly Stella Garnto.
Mrs. Smith was born in Wrightsville, GA. She was a High School graduate and later obtained a nursing degree. Mrs. Smith was employed by South GA Medical Center where she was a Nurse. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church.
Survivors include her 2 children; Jimmy (Kathy) Smith of Valdosta, GA and Kathy (Gary) Locke of Helena, GA. 2 Grandchildren; Iris Barlow of Helena, GA and Kathryn (Wes) Brown of Dothan, AL. 3 Great-Grandchildren; Locke Barlow of Eastman, GA, Maggie Barlow of Helena, GA and Thomas Brown of Dothan, Al. Also, several nieces and nephews.
All services for Mrs. Smith will be private.
