Ron was the "Agent" in Fitzgerald when I hired on with CSX. One of the first things they taught us was to never call him a "clerk"! We have many fond memories of Ron we love to tell on the railroad. It brings a smile to my face as I think of them now. He was a no nonsense kind of man and that was what we respected the most about him. Rest easy now Brother Tompkins for you are at peace. Condolences to the family.

To ron tompkins family
I worked many years with Ron. He was truly a good man and took his work seriously. I can say he had outstanding character and will be sadly missed by his friends and fellow employees.
