Royce Story
Royce Story, 82, of Hazlehurst, died on Thursday, March 11, 2021 at his residence after an extended illness.
Royce was a retired Methodist Minister, one of the founding elders of Elbethel Church, Missionary with World Indigenous Missions and a School bus Driver with Jeff Davis County School Systems. He was a member of Grace Fellowship Church.
He was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Lamar Phillips; sister, Gerald Story Ellis; wife, Annette Vining Story; 2 daughters, Crystal Story Pike and Emily Story Lott; parents, Alton and Ruby Smith Story.
Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at Bethany Holiness Baptist Church, 1953 Pebble Rock Road, Ambrose, Georgia. The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. on the church front porch before the services. Rev. L.A. Joiner, Rev. Steve Newton, Rev. Barry Owens will officiate. Services will be live streamed on Charles Alan Bethea facebook page.
Survivors include his wife, Donna Jill Story; daughters, Elaine (Duck) Burleson of Ambrose, Cindy Ragland of Hazlehurst, Lois (Chuck) Bethea of McRae, Michelle Doering of Brunswick; sister, Tona Lord of Columbia, South Carolina; bonus daughter, Cindy Brown Sayer of Ambrose; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
