Steven “Steve” Lofton Haymons
Steven “Steve” Lofton Haymons, 68 of McRae, passes away, Friday, February 17, 2023. He is preceded in death by his mother, Murlene Cheek Haymons.
Mr. Haymons attended Middle Georgia College and was a retired Life Insurance Agent with the Independent Life Insurance Company. He was an avid farmer, marksman, hunter and fisherman and member of Helena Baptist Church. But above all, his greatest joys were his children and grandchildren.
Mr. Haymons is survived by his children, Meredith (Tucker) Dixon of Glenwood, Beth (Alan) Bethea of Dallas and Steven Bradley Haymons of Helena; grandchildren, Drew Tucker Dixon, Ava Cate Dixon and Carter Jamey Dixon all of Glenwood; father, Lofton Haymons of McRae; brother and sister, Kim Elizabeth Haymons of McRae, Jeffery (Paige) Haymons of Statesboro; nieces and nephews, Laura (Kevin) Scott of Marietta, Morgan Haymons of Statesboro and Finley Haymons of Statesboro.
Visitation will be held from 9:30 A.M. – 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, February 23, 2023, in the Chapel of Lowe’s Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 11 A.M. also in the Chapel. Burial will take place at Telfair Memorial Gardens. Rev. Jimbo Dominey will officiate.
Flowers will be accepted but the family ask that any contributions be sent to, A Better Way Ministries at 800 Stallings Rd Senoia, GA
