Stewart “SC” Cleveland Browning Jr., 100, of Lumber City, died on Thursday, December 9th, 2021 in Macon.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 13th, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. in the Lumber City Baptist Church with burial with Military Honors in the Riverside Cemetery. The Rev. Ashley Tyree and the Rev. Ryan Clements will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. on Monday, December 13th, 2021 in the church before the services.
Flowers or accepted of donations may be given to the Lumber City Baptist Church, P.O. Box 297, Lumber City, Georgia 31549.
Mr. Browning was a Veteran of World War II, 9th Division European Theater; member of Lumber City Baptist Church; member of the American Legion in Lumber City. He is preceded in death by his wife, Polly Powell Browning; parents, Stewart Cleveland Browning Sr. and Annie McLean Browning; 2 brothers, Joe Browning, Lanier Browning; 4 sisters, Ruby Harris, Olieta Baker, Eudelle Strayer, Mildred Layfield; sister-in-law, Marie Easler.
Survivors include his daughter, Cheryl Browning of Macon; 2 nieces, Martha Jane Livingston of Lumber City, Joan Webster of Lumber City; several other nieces and nephews; several great-nieces and great-nephews.
