Thomas (Tom) Wayne Anderson, 75, of Lumber City, died on Monday, February 1st , 2021 at his residence.
Tom was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church, retired Army Lt. Colonel, attended North Georgia Military College, retired Police Chief in West Columbia, South Carolina and Tacoma Park, Maryland, Telfair County Commissioner, member of the Pioneer Historical Society, Board Member of Telfair Wheeler Airport Authority, member of the Joint Development Authority of Hazlehurst, Lumber City and Telfair County, member of Telfair Chamber of Commerce, served as a Representative of Telfair County Ocmulgee Water Trail Partnership.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Winnie Lewis Anderson and Tom Anderson; son, Brian Anderson and a sister, Renee A. Rivers.
All services will be private.

Survivors include his wife, Paula Anderson of Lumber City; children, Miranda Anderson (Shawn Barido) of Cumming, Melanie Cater of Snipesville, Benjamin (Kari) Bridges of Douglas; 5 grandchildren, Gloria Anderson, Caden Cater, Jackson Bridges, Asher Bridges, Micah Bridges; 1 brother, Jeff Anderson of Douglas; mother-in-law, Estelle Caves of Snipesville.
